As an intergenerational community, we strive to live as one family, while also recognizing that people of different ages have different needs. Children and youth attend the first 15 minutes of the worship service, then come to the front for a brief time with the minister before heading to their own bible based programming down the hall. Your children can participate in as much or as little as they choose or remain in the sanctuary. After worship, the gym is open for treats and active games.
While crying babies or rowdy toddlers aren't a problem in worship, a nursery is available if desired. You are welcome to stay in the nursery. A service live stream is available. Alternatively, let our nursery staff care for your child. Take a pager with you and our nursery staff can contact you if necessary.
In Children's Worship the focus is worship and biblical literacy. Children worship together through song, prayer, and creative scripture exploration. Each week they participate in a dramatic retelling and active exploration of a bible story and are immersed in the language, rituals and symbols of Christian worship.
In Splat!, youth have a blast exploring the historical background to popular bible stories through active games that engage the creative juices. Running shoes are a must! Discussions then continue in the chapel.
High School students head to the couch room once per month to explore the connection between biblical themes and local and global issues.
Join the Junior Choir. Children share the gift of song during Sunday morning worship on selected dates. Practices occur Sunday morning after worship in the preceding weeks.
